Gorgeous Set Of 4 C1900 Alvin Silver Co. Art Nouveau Sterling Overlay Decanters

  

For sale is a spectacular circa 1900 set of Set of Four Alvin Corporation Silver Overlay Glass Decanters and Stoppers. Each marked'Sterling', monogrammed JWM.

And with the Alvin Silver manufactures mark with the earlier A mark. Decanter labeled'Creme de Menthe. Each 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. Slight tarnish on sterling silver which is easily finger polished to bright.

Each with minor wear and minor residue to the interior. One stopper with an internal crack and small nick to base. Two other stoppers with minor nicks to bases, another stopper with a chip to the inside stem. Jamoneau in 1886 as Alvin Mfg Co in Irvington, New Jersey. The firm changed to Alvin-Beiderhase Co c.

1893 under the management of Wm. Beiderhase moving in 1895 to Sag Harbour, Long Island.
