Alvin Majestic Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Serving Spoon 9 Inches

  
Presented is a fabulous sterling silver serving spoon from Alvin. This piece is in the Majestic pattern, which was patented in 1900 and was likely originally marketed as a salad serving spoon. The pattern displays gorgeous Art Nouveau style flowers and leaves along front and back of the handle in high relief.

There is a monogram in the front cartouche, "LCJ", in a flowing script. The reverse is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Alvin.

This piece is in great overall condition. The bowl appears to have a faded gold wash. The pattern details are crisp.

There are no breaks and no repairs. Weight: 109 grams or 3.8 ounces.
