Alvin Sterling Fine Silver Overlay on Crystal Pitcher /Decanter Circa 1900

A fine and ornate engraved grape vine silver mount cut star pattern bottom crystal pitcher, with a monogram in the front and Alvin hallmarks on the base. This pitcher has fine lines and proportions and superb engraving work on a thick layer of of 99.9% pure silver. Upward tapering cylinder, spread base, and scroll handle. Dense and fruiting grapevine with bunches and leaves. Asymmetrical scrolled cartouche with script monogram.

Hallmarked with number 324 on the bottom silver edge. Photos don't do it justice - they're difficult to take because of the reflections - the sterling looks bright and lovely, in person. No cracks in the crystal. Perfect for water or wine.
