Alvin Sterling Old Orange Blossom Berry Spoon (flowers in bowl) C 1905 NR

  

A Sterling Silver, "Large Berry Spoon". In one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau patterns Alvin made called "Old Orange Blossom " manufactured by Alvin first in 1905. The Berry Spoon is 9 1/4 in length and weighs 3.885 troy ozs.

With a very beautiful Art Nouveau design of Orange Blossoms running down the front of the handle and into the bowl of the spoon. The front of the handle has a fancy scrip monogram on the cartouche and the bowl is covered in a light gold wash. The back of the spoon's handle has the makers hallmark, sterling and the pat. (see pictures for closer ups).

The Berry Spoon is in very good, used condition with only normal surface wear. Commensurate with the age of this piece and normal usage. (see pictures for close ups) The dark spots are reflections off the dark blue camera.
