ALVIN Sterling Silver large Art Nouveau POWDER JAR all silver no monogram

  

This powder jar is 3" tall and 3 1/4" in diameter at it's widest point top and bottom. It weighs 168 grams, or just over 5 ounces. The jar has a beautiful lid with a circular band of waves or scrolling around a center cartouche. The lid also has a subtle band of decoration on its bottom rim composed of a repeating three circles followed by an elongated oval. The main body of the jar is completely plain.

On the bottom, the jar is marked with both the hallmarks for Alvin and Gorham M'F'C CO (Alvin became a division of Gorham), sterling and the numbers 2610.
