Presented is an antique, 3 piece, sterling silver and carbon steel carving set made by Alvin during the early 20th century. This set includes a carving knife, fork with rest or stand and a knife sharpener. This set is done in the Apollo pattern, which was patented in 1900 and this is old, original production. The handles are sterling silver and each one has a monogram of the letter Q surrounded by a raised wreath and bow decoration.

The tines, blade and sharpener base are made of carbon steel, which cannot go in the dishwasher and it must be kept dry to prevent rusting. Each handle is marked Alvin and sterling.
