Antique Alvin Bridal Rose 1903 Sterling Silver Lettuce Serving Fork 9 1/8

  

Presented is a fine Alvin sterling silver lettuce serving fork. This piece is done in the highly desirable Bridal Rose pattern, which began production in 1903. This fork is certainly an old production piece, dating to within 10-15 years of the pattern's start. As the name suggests, this pattern has lovely floral motifs on the front and back of the handle, showing roses and their leaves in fine detail.

The end of the handle has a cartouche with a monogram of'LD' in script. The fork is in great condition.

The details of the pattern are nice and sharp. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Alvin, as well as'patent.
