Chased Romantique by Alvin Sterling Silver Flatware, 38 pieces, no monograms. This listing is for simple but elegant Chased Romantique by Alvin, Sterling Silver flatware, 38 pieces. 6 dinner knives- each measuring 9 1/2. 6 dinner forks- each measuring 7 7/8.
5 salad forks- each measuring 6 1/2. 6 teaspoons- each measuring 6.4 luncheon knives- each measuring 9. 4 luncheon forks- each measuring 7 1/4. 4 teaspoons- each measuring 6. 3 table/dessert spoons- each measuring 6 7/8. The Chased Romantique sterling silver pattern is by Alvin.
And designed by F Russell Woodward in 1933. The pattern has a mirrored finish in the center going from top to bottom with a band of very intricate designs on both sides. This item consists of 38 pieces and is in very good condition.
The style works well with both mid-century and more modern table settings. These pieces come wrapped in felt bags (pictured).
Pictures one and two depict the dinner flatware pieces (note there are five salad forks). Pictures three and four depict the luncheon flatware pieces (note there are three table/dessert spoons). Over the last 40 years, these pieces were gently used one to two times per year. While the dinner set is not a complete service for six, I would mix and match pieces from the dinner set and luncheon set in order to have a "complete" service for six. These 38 pieces are the perfect way to either begin your sterling silver flatware collection or add to an existing collection.
My table always looked stunning with the sterling silver. As we age and downsize our home, we would like our sterling silver items to go to a new and loving home where they will be cared for and treasured. Thank you for your understanding.
