Fine Alvin Sterling Silver Open Work / Pierced Bon Bon Dish. Measures 9" long x 6 3/8" wide x 2 3/4 high.
Marked: Sterling, Stock #1074 and. With the maker's mark for Alvin Silversmiths.
This firm began as the Alvin Mfg. In 1886 and was founded by William H. With the addition of partners in 1893, including George B. Beiderhase, the name was changed to Alvin-Beiderhase Co, reverting back to the Alvin Mfg.
The company was acquired by Joseph Fahys & Co. In 1897, and the name was changed to the Alvin Silver Co. Overall in very good condition with no dents, dings or repairs. This open work design was very popular back then! From a pet free and smoke free home.
