Vtg ALVIN Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Green Glass Vase G3217-3 DAMAGE-READ

  

Gorgeous art nouveau green glass vase encased in sterling silver by Alvin Mfg. Unfortunately it does have damage. It will NOT hold water. There is cracks around the bulbous bottom.

The glass in the bottom is I believe held together by the silver. There is crud on the bottom that did not wash out with a basic cleaning. I was not going to place extra pressure trying to remove it. All of this is pictured. Multiple pictures from varying angles provided for your study.

With all of this said, it still display beautifully WITHOUT water. In a cabinet you cannot tell there are is a crack or a hole.

The do not stand out. Scrapes and scuffs are normal with age.
